Review                                              

Alexander is a warrior archangel who we met earlier in the Guild hunter series when mad goddess Lijuan woke him before the archangel’s war. He is revered in the history of angel kind as awarrior, a man of honour and wisdom. In this story, we witness his birth, growth and ascension to an archangel and the love that sustained him most of his eons of existence. This story starts centuries before the events of the first book of the series.

I love it when we go back to a familiar character’s origin to find out what events built them to the person they are presently. Our experiences and environment helps to shape us whether we like it or not. I gave 4 out of 5 stars. One thing I love about Nalini’s writing is that, her characters feel very much alive, there are myriads of personality traits to relate to. Alexander and Zanaya had tens of thousands of years together, they were the ultimate make up t break up couple but its amazing how mortality in an immortal race changes perceptions. Lijuan is the most insulted character in this series and different characters have different insults for her which is just too funny to read. I really recommend this series to anyone who loves paranormal romance, angels and action, Guild hunter series will provide this and so much more. I can’t wait for the next installment.
