Hello Readers, welcome back to my blog.

Whenever I pick up a Nalini Singh book, I fall into a rabbit hole of deliciousness that I don’t want to come out of and I read so fast that I am amazed at how she can capture the imagination all over again. Thumbs up for my favourite author, it took me 2 days to finish this and that is despite my other busy commitments as usual.

SYNOPSIS

Control. Precision. Family. These are the principles that drive Silver Mercant. At a time when the fledgling Trinity Accord seeks to unite a divided world, with Silver playing a crucial role as director of a worldwide emergency response network, wildness and chaos are the last things she needs in her life. But that’s exactly what Valentin Nikolaev, alpha of the StoneWater bears, brings with him.

Valentin has never met a more fascinating woman. Though Silver is ruled by Silence—her mind clear of all emotion—Valentin senses a whisper of fire around her. That’s what keeps him climbing apartment buildings to be near her. But when a shadow assassin almost succeeds in poisoning Silver, the stakes become deadly serious . . . and Silver finds herself in the heart of a powerful bear clan.

Her would-be assassin has no idea what their poison has unleashed . . .

Review

This is the first book of the Psy-changeling Trinity Series and we are no longer focused on the cats and wolves but on the bears in Russia. The first story of this series is just fantastic because the dynamic is a little different of course, even though the world is the same and there are some expectations on what should happen given how the previous series ended there, this was the first time that a Psy choose emotions but went back to silence. The connections they made when they were feeling emotions have to adapt to the new reality that the Psy is back in silence and therefore a completely different person. The bear clan are just fantastic and seeing a different aspect of what is important to them, like how they take food seriously was ingenious because it sets them apart from the other changelings we have come across in the previous series. I gave 5 out of 5 stars because the characters were amazing and it was a fantastic start to the new series, I can’t wait to read the rest.

Thank you for reading
Have a great week and God bless
